Test of Tamron 150-600mm lens. There was a free-flying un-ringed flock of greylags at Cannop Ponds. The following pictures are roughly in the same order as they were taken.
Got some adequate shots, selecting f9 as the maximum aperture and getting the camera to work out the shutter speed. Perhaps it should have been done the other way round -- setting 1000th as the slowest possible shutter speed, to stop movement. But the light was bad. All exposures were underexposed by one stop to achieve a faster shutter speed and the underexposure was then corrected in post-processing.
