            Chapeau mon spécimen jusqu’au 8cm (voir photo) jaune ocre avec tache rouge où rosâtre longuement sillonnées avec des tubercules.
Lames..fourchu près du pied presque serré blanc très friable.
Pied ..égal caverneux 
Croissance..gregaire forêt de vieux chêne érable pas de conifère 
Sol….argileux 
Odeur..faible de cerise fruitée pas agréable.
Saveur..douce et puis désagréable graisseux pas bon.

Cette russule petite à moyenne de la section Ingratae a été originalement décrite sous R. pectinatoides.
Elle est très proche de R.amerorecondita, différant par son chapeau plus jaunâtre, sa saveur un peu âcre et ses piléocystides distinctement mucronées, avec appendice en forme de perle, et souvent plus courtes.
