Kati Zorn a great chronicler of our time Unambiguously ambiguous - lascivious, bizarre, cheerful, amusing, frivolous - for over 20 years, the porcelain sculptor Kati Zorn, who lives and works in Cursdorf in Thuringia, creates unique porcelain sculptures. Kati Zorn masterfully manages to capture the great, universal feelings of love, lust, joy, grief and melancholy in unique porcelain figurines. Her works show characters, with all their weaknesses, strengths or endearing inadequacies. Each object bears the unmistakable signature of a passionate artist with a sense of pathos and humor, each object is provocative, yet charming, multi-layered and profound. Kati Zorn's style is unmistakable and testifies to the skill of an outstanding porcelain sculptor. She always succeeds in captivating the viewer with the exciting stories told by her enchanting and unique objects.

Kati Zorn is the absolute exception and the uncrowned queen among the artists who have dedicated themselves to classical work in porcelain. Born in Jena in 1962, she learned her craft as a model amongst other things in the porcelain manufactory Meissen. After putting her talent at the service of the "Aeltesten Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur" for 17 years, she lives and works since 2000 as a freelance artist in Cursdorf, Thuringia. Their cheeky sculptures, each individually hand-painted, form a wonderful contrast to the somewhat Biedermeier porcelain culture of the well-known "brands".
