FLVOR of this genus in IT outside IT-88. Same specimen, lateral, dorsal and frontal habitus. Cfr. notes¹ over the above image.

Megophthalmidia, Aphrastomyia and Mohelia compose a single clade well nested within Leiinæ. 13 synapomorphies support Megophthalmidiini monophyly: 8 have independent origins within Leinæ, 5 are uniquely derived in this tb. No exclusive apomorphies lump Mohelia with Aphrastomyia, and the clade is supported by 4 apomorphies that also appear elsewhere.

NOTES

1. TBL 2.5 mm. Diagnostic characters: Sc short, incomplete, inclined toward R, ending free; R1 short, curved toward wing margin, longer than r-m. Few interocelar setæ; no distinct longer seta @ pedicel apex.
