LNER to the West of England 20190824--049

            43290 and 43367 (with trailer set EC64) are pictured at Chevin (Milford, between Ambergate and Derby), working 1V50 06.06 Edinburgh - Plymouth.

Being the Saturday of the late August bank holiday weekend, Cross Country hired two HST sets from LNER to increase train capacity; LNER was able to spare them because the ECML was closed completely south of Peterborough for planned engineering work, and, in addition, there was a reduced service between Doncaster and Peterborough due to the renewal of the flat crossing at Newark.
