2 x IE DART - Dublin North Wall - a photo on Flickriver

            Eine Menge hat sich geändert in Dublin in den letzten 20 Jahren und auch dieses Bild ist so nicht mehr zu machen. Die alten DART Triebwagen sind zwar noch nicht ersetzt worden (wird aber nicht lange mehr dauern), die Brücke i dafür ist völlig neu (wie auf dem Bild von oben deutlich zu sehen ist). Und die Fahrgäste in der DART…  haben alle kein Mund-Nasen-Schutz (etwas was heutzutage leider immer noch notwendig ist).  Das Bild vom 17. März 2001 zeigt zwei DART Triebwagen auf der Fahrt nach Bray beim überqueren des Tolka Rivers.

Veel is veranderd in Dublin in de afgelopen 20 jaar. Nieuwe gebouwen en bruggen zijn gebouwd en in het openbaar vervoer rijden moderne treinen, trams en bussen. Op de foto – van 17 maart 2001 – rijden twee oude DART treinstellen over de Tolka river richting Bray. De brug is inmiddels ook vernieuwd worden (zoals duidelijk in de luchtfoto te zien is)…

A lot has changed in Dublin in the last twenty years. After having seen an incredible areal shot from this location, I knew that I was here as well (albeit on the ground obviously) and had taken some shots. One of these shots (from March 17th 2001) can be seen here and  it shows two class 8100 D.A.R.T. railcars headed for Bray. I have added the areal shot below (hope that’s OK Finbarr) so one can make a comparison…
