A Day in Berlin

            On April 21, 2021, I attended the only not forbidden demonstration in Berlin against the renewed tightening of the Infection Protection Act.

It began absolutely peaceful. However, it was broken up by the Berlin police due to alleged non-compliance with requirements and people were asked to leave the area via the Tiergarten (a small forest).

There were violent scenes in the Tiergarten due to brutal police operations.

Later it became known that an elderly woman died in police custody.

Am 21. April 2021 besuchte ich in Berlin die einzige für diesen Tag nicht verbotene Kundgebung gegen die erneute Verschärfung des Infektionsschutzgesetzes. 

Die Kundgebung verlief ausgesprochen friedlich. 

Jedoch wurde sie von der Berliner Polizei wegen angeblicher Nichteinhaltung von Auflagen aufgelöst, es wurde aufgefordert die Versammlungsfläche über den Tiergarten (ein kleines Waldgebiet) zu verlassen.

Im Tiergarten kam es zu gewalttätigen Szenen durch brutale Polizeieinsätze. 

Erst später wurde bekannt, dass eine ältere Dame in Polizeigewahrsam zu Tode kam.
