BR Class 45, Peak, No. 45 017 accelerates away from the Lickey incline with 1M85, a northbound express at Blackwell, Worcestershire.

            With the engine at full power and the characteristic whirr of the traction motor cooling fans audible a long way off, BR Type 4 Class 45 Peak No. 45 017 accelerates its 12 coach train away from the summit of the 1 in 37 Lickey incline at Blackwell whilst heading north with 1M85, the 08.05 Plymouth to Birmingham New Street service.

Note the Blackwell recovery hospital since demolished is visible above the middle of the train, the cornfield with its public footpath through the middle has since become a housing estate with no pedestrian access to the railway, and the spotters visible at the rear of the train would now be trespassing.
