Poem.

Dawn beckons.
Snow-tinged hills break the brightening sky-backcloth.
Street-lights, house-lights, theatre-lights, Cathedral flood-lights and a fast, rising sun, pierce night’s gloom.
Radiant, yellow-sodium beams reach out,
like demented starfish
across the pewter-grey river,
warming the icy-chill.
Freshly laid snow picks up the light sources
and “wintrifies” a captivating scene.
Its snow-time at Christmas in the Highlands.
Magic……pure magic!
