Mist clings to the Nevis Range late into the morning in late Autumn but as the tide ebbs out Loch Eil remains like a mirror, reflecting this moody perfection, Lochaber, Inverness-shire, Scotland.

Poem.

Ethereal bliss.
Mists shroud reality like half-forgotten
images cloud a dream.
A picture akin to Tolkien’s “Middle Earth.”
But this dream………..is real.
In fact, not a sound, not a ripple.
Utter peace, utter serenity,
As if time has momentarily stopped.
Surreal.
Mystical.
Magical.
Then a car engine in the distance
and the “Hogwarts Express” steaming by,
bring us back, back from our dream landscape,
our dreamy moment,
to the here and now, and the bubble of unreality is burst
and we move on.
Reality………now there’s a conundrum!!!
