Poem.

Whatever may or may not live beneath
these mercurial, iconic waters, they still hold a mystery.
The atmosphere.
The ambience.
The physicality.
The depth.
The volume.
It is captivating and arresting.
The foliage lends a natural frame.
The yacht lends a sense of scale.
The mist lends a clandestine, furtive feeling to just another loch.
But it is not just another loch amongst over 31,000 that dot this amazing land.
It is Loch Ness.
That black line near the far shore.
Could that be…… “it?”
Probably not.
It is more likely the wake of a boat,
the trace of a floating log,
a freak wave
or a family of otters swimming for their breakfast.
But that is it……
nobody knows!
It could be, whatever we want it to be!!!
