De roeireddingsboot in de branding | The lifeboat in the surf

            Het beeld 'De roeireddingsboot in de branding' is gemaakt door de beeldhouwster Louk van Meurs en geplaatst op 2 december 2004. De Egmondse boot nr. 5, die tegenwordig in het museum staat, heeft model gestaan.
Deze boot van de Noord en Zuid-Hollandse Redding Maatschappij voer van 1912 tot 1939 vele malen uit. De toenmalige NZHRM nu KNRM, Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij, bestaat sinds 1824.

The sculpture 'The rowing lifeboat in the surf' was made by the sculptor Louk van Meurs and placed on December 2, 2004. The Egmond boat no. 5, which is currently in the museum, served as a model.
This boat of the North and South Holland Rescue Company sailed many times from 1912 to 1939. The then NZHRM, now KNRM, Royal Dutch Rescue Society, has existed since 1824.
