CT4N 1028 (YN55 NGJ) & NCT 490 (YN19 EGD)

            A unique opportunity arose on the 21st of November to ride an old N94UD OmniDekka on the Medilink in place of the usual Versa or BYD K9UR. While it was blistering cold and with daylight fading fast, it was still very much worth going out to see (and even ride on). 

1028 was new to NCT as 694 for the Lime Line and saw out its final years on the route 4, being one of the final N94UDs still in service by 2019. It was then sold to CT4N (although outstationed at a Redfern/Johnson Bros depot) for use on a school contract and was initially numbered 1015 although went on a hiatus at some point. In 2024 this bus returned to service with CT4N, mainly restricted to some new contracts won by them for Nottingham High School.

490 is a much less interesting bus, although still looks the part in the golden sun. It's one of the regular branded buses for the 49 so isn't anything special.
