1044 Swindon 12.8.75 - a photo on Flickriver

            The end (literally) of Class 52 number D1044 "Western Duchess" at Swindon Works on 12th August, 1975.
The scrapping process appeared to commence with a cut from the route indicator boxes round to the doors and then the removal of the cabs from the floor structure.
The cabs to the left are from D1061 "Western Envoy".
