Macau, immediately after the Olympics in Beijing. In the background, you can see the newer skyscrapers. In historical Macau, the streets are full of tourists sight-seeing, snapping photos, eating McDonalds burgers and shopping 'til they drop. The island was primarily used for gambling with some of the most amazing very old architecture–the old with the new–the wealthy and the poor, providing a deep contrast not only in the class system and history of this island, but also for the photographer, the various colors, shapes, textures, the light reflecting off of the buildings and the busyness of this place all coming together to make an amazing photograph!
