Almost like home

            The topic of semaphore signals în România seems really interesting, because, just like in Poland, they are a mix of everything at once. The main signals resemble the German ones (except for some stations in the North-West it seems), while the distant signals and shunting signals are of the Austro-Hungarian type. This is not dissimilar to the general situation in interwar period Poland, however later the distant signals were also replaced for the more German-looking ones.

Here the full array of signals is presented at the entrance to the station Pângărați. The evening regio train 5481 from Piatra Neamț to Bicaz is departing from the disused station with 2 coaches, headed by 60-1355. We were able to get this quick shot in, shortly after returning from our first hiking trip in Romania.
