Northbound By Wilhoit

            We captured one last shot of the 1827 by the old L&N Searchlight signals on the north end of Wilhoit before letting the Lynch loads proceed north to Corbin. Between Loyall and Corbin, Wilhoit is the last remaining siding, as the rest have fallen to track removal this year (excluding Balkan for obvious reasons, as well as Wallsend yard at Pineville if you count that. A portion of Blackmont still remains as well, up to the switch for the old Pucketts Creek branch.) Sadly, Wilhoit is also slated to be removed from here up to the north end of Loyall, and this shot will soon no longer be available. This is Wilhoit's last stand folks, shoot it while you can.
