The Music Is About To Begin: Tuning - a photo on Flickriver

(The beginning of the story of Baitak).
Yesterday’n’night and the day and night before I’ve hosted this traditional gathering in my attic, Baitak. I named it after a type of Hindustani classical music performance, which literally means “seat” or “place to seat”. This time my good friend Yanoushka (presenting in this photo) returned from India and wanted to see us all. There was a lag in the dates, so I suggested to celebrate Yanoushka’s return 2 days and nights in a row, which we did.
We’re living bizarre life here. Maybe the whole world, too. It’s like the life after life. Like the life after. Because, you see, my friends, there’s the biggest war right here, in the middle of our own lives, in the core of them. Like this feared WWIII. Only not exactly. Just recently I realized, that the War of 1812 was the WWI. People just didn’t’ realized it at that time and just forgot later, and consequently this war didn’t even have its own name, like War of Jenkins' Ear aka Guerra del Asiento or Hook and Cod wars. So, the WWI is actually WWII and so on, and the WWIII is over and it's still the Global Heating instead of nuclear winter, nothing to fear, eh? Forgive me my grim humour. I myself am still freak my shit out. On the other hand, there could be some more good news as well. I feel that right here and now we have the World Anti-war I, that’s how I named it. Whatever. There is something huge, nightmarish and unthinkable. But we have to live. That’s the basic instinct, and not what’s they showed us in that movie. That one, from the movie, is just to keep us fucking interested. So, we have developed the sort of the blind spot. The war is right here, in the middle – that’s what I could scream, as loud and as long as I want (though I don’t want to), but doubt that I will be heard. Even by myself. I have the same blind spot as anyone else.
Let’s better return to our baitak. To the life. It’s always happening completely different than anyone expected. Though there could be some patterns, somewhere inside the patterns of freedom or the ways to it. “Not necessary stoned, but beautiful”.
