St Andrews, Fife: Swilken Bridge.

            It's about 30 feet across, but one of the most recognizable bridges anywhere...I knew it as the Swilken Bridge when growing up, but it's also know as the Swilcan.
In the backgound, one of St Andrews' landmarks younger than me, the Old Course Hotel, which opened in 1968. When new it was regarded as an eyesore, and I won't get involved in that controversy, either.
I believe this view is something like that enjoyed by golfers walking on having hit their first shot from the 1st tee on the Old Course, rather than the conventional pic looking towards the 18th green...
