Hi ho, Hollyhock, away !

I saw these amongst extensive weeds, on the north bank of the River Thames between a power station and a (disused) landfill site, where I'd previously seen giant (8 - 10 feet) weeds.
This is apparently a proper plant, not a weed - a Hollyhock...(?). It was extravagantly tall, not quite as aggressive as those weeds but still a bit vulgar in its height and trumpet like flowers. Apparently it produces a fruit called a schizocarp, so it's alright in my book, chum. I wouldn't eat a schizocarp, of course; it probably wouldn't eat me, either.
