Warrington, 125 Group HST 43089 & 43159 (07.01 Newcastle -Chester) 03/08/24.

            The Bishop Trains ‘Rail Excursion to Chester’ was scheduled on the up slow and with a late arriving Pendolino ahead of it I was confident it would be on the inner track ... but Warrington PB had different ideas and even though it was scheduled to take the Chester line put it slap bang behind the Pendo (with nothing else around) and delayed it! 
* What could be simpler? ... taking a phot from Bank Quay bridge of a HST Railtour at lunchtime. It has been just over three years and in that time bushes that will become trees have been allowed to grow unchecked in the six foot from Dallam to Warrington Bank Quay station and beyond. I should have known better as I passed through on the train a month ago and noted it was bad but this shocked me.
I am right in saying this is the WCML? a high speed route? 
Network Rail are getting very good at not actually doing the job.
