Tricolored Heron flipping his fish

            Normally, I would miss the exact moment water birds flip their fish around before they swallow. 
So, I spent a little time observing this bird fish and his movements made to orient the fish around.

Then with the digital camera once I understood about when he was going to flip the fish, I held the shutter down and took a bazillion photos. 
One series, I got lucky and I got the photo I was looking for.
 
I read that birds that eats fish whole will orient a fish head first when swallowing it so that the fins can't expand and injure the bird's esophagus on the way down
