Pawpaw -- Asimina triloba

            In my woods. Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.

The flowers on this small tree hang downward such that the reproductive parts are often difficult to photograph. In order to be able to do that without going through contortions to get me and my camera under the flowers shooting up, I tied back the branch with rope so I could shoot it with me standing up straight. This shot was taken without flash.
