            We saw a few new (to us) places on our recent trip.  One of them was the Gooseberry Badlands in the Big Horn Basin, Wyoming.  Not sure why our GPS decided that Gooseberry Creek Road was the best route from Buffalo to Cody, but it was very scenic.  Although this badlands area is much smaller than those in North and South Dakota, it was just as colorful. A well maintained BLM hiking trail allowed for close up viewing - watch for rattle snakes! - but this bench was just a few hundred feet from the parking area.
