            We were supposed to go to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, but a fire at the visitor center the day before we arrived closed the area.  So we went to the Hoh rain forest area instead. Walking on the Hall of Mosses, we saw a somewhat young douglas fir growing up from an old stump and nurse log, its branches covered with beard lichen and moss. My original photo was ok, but the bark and moss called out to me to show off their awesome textures in a bolder way. They suggested a Jixipix filter,  moku hanga, with a little help from PSE20's bloom effect. I desaturated the green in iMac photos.
