Big Sister, Little Brother, 1/6th-Plate Daguerreotype, Circa 1850

The girl appears to wear a large photo brooch, which must be a daguerreotype, as no other form of photography was commercially available in America at this time.  From a distance, squinting, it appears to be a woman, possibly wearing a bonnet, and who may potentially be the children's mother.
