NEW STONE WALL _DSC_4011_LR

            This cottage in Aston was a farmhouse (Poplar Farm) and dates from early C17.  The gable end wall shown here was built in the last few weeks and already does not look out of place with the earlier stonework. The earlier C17 farm had been altered in early 1800's  and then extended in circa 1960's (when lower part of this stonework was built.)
