Waiting for a bogie.

            The rear of the old Kerr Stuart California Works, a railway locomotive manufacturer, off Whieldon Road in Stoke-on-Trent. 
The original works were built in this area in 1874 but had closed by 1930 with the loss of around 1200 jobs from the peak of its business.
The site is now occupied by Axiom Rail a company specialising in railway rolling stock maintenance, who took over from Marcroft Engineering. 
The shot was taken from beside the Trent and Mersey canal close to the Sideway waste disposal site.
