One of many but for how long? - a photo on Flickriver

            Memories of my youth spent, when I should really have been at Cauldon College, in the bar of the old Sneyd Arms public house on the corner of Shearer Street and Newcastle Road/Shelton New Road in Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent.
This run down old pub which dates back to the mid to late nineteenth century, has stood in such a state for the last ten to twenty years. It was reported to be being saved, for use as a pub again, as part of the development of new housing in the area, this from articles back in 2018 but nothing seems to be on the horizon at present.
The signage shown is for one of its many new themes, this one Harry Ramjams, it also went by the name of Tap and Spile, and Baillies Bar through the nineties and early two thousands.
The new development on the left of the picture isn't the scheme for which this was part of the proposals.
The title refers to the use of Sneyd Arms to name pubs in and around the Potteries, there are still three more still open at present within the city if I'm right.
