            Just south of Sitka is a place for bears that can't be left to the wild called "the fortress of the bears".  It is actually a pair of abandoned water treatment tanks.

While they were closed while we were their, that had an event for the children of Sitka to bring their Halloween jack-o-lanterns.  The bears were moved into one habitat and then the children hid their jack-o-lanterns in the other habitat.  Then once everyone was out, the bears came to dispose of all the jack-o-lanterns with the children watching to see which bear would eat their jack-o-lantern.
