DCR hire-in 56098 waits on a red signal, at Ely West Junction, with 6M89, 09.01 Middleton Towers - Ravenhead Sdgs, with the loaded sand train. 03 02 2024

            A rare occurrence to see a Class 56 loco on this working lately. This one was hired in from GBRf.

The Driver must have been on a mission, making very good time from Downham Market. I paced the train by road and had a very good run, but the train still beat me to Queen Adelaide. Fortunately, the train is booked around a forty minute stop on the Ely West Curve, here at the West Junction, allowing for another shot.
