Laotian Madonna - a photo on Flickriver

Laotian Madonna

            This pic is taken from a river boat somewhere along the Mekong, upstream from Luang Prabang. And, I dunno what it is, if it's the shading on the rocks, of the colors, or the pic lay-out, but it reminds me of a Biblical picture. The girl in the front reminds me of some kind of Madonna, bringing gifts or offerings. In reality, though, these kids were just trying to make money, preferably dollars.
