Isla de San Nicolas - a photo on Flickriver

            So, it's been over 2 years since my last upload. A lot has happened in that time and my style has evolved to be far closer to where I wanted it to be, although I still have a long way to go. Despite shooting throughout that time, I've been put off uploading to flickr as I got fed up of the attention-seeking aspect of it. I've decided to ease myself back in to the flickr world and intend to upload a few more pictures in the coming weeks, and see how things go from there...

This beautiful little island sits by the beach at Lekeitio in the Basque Country. It is reachable by foot at low tide and home to hundreds of birds due to the protection it offers them. The town itself is an important fishing port, but is also pretty. Prior to making this image, we walked through its streets and ate fresh fish prepared to local recipes - a great afternoon!
