CASA 2.111B 'B2I-27' (really B.2I-103)

The CASA 2.111 was a postwar Spanish built Heinkel 111, fitted with Rolls-Royce Merlin engines.
This example was on display at Tablada Airbase near Seville from 1968 until 1998, when it was transported to Duxford under a German military CH-53G helicopter. Originally imported by OFMC for rebuild to flying condition, it joined the IWM collection in 2000 but remained in store until early 2020 when she moved to Hawkinge for the Kent Battle of Britain museum. She has since been reassembled and repainted in WW2 Luftwaffe colours, but as photography is not allowed there I won’t be visiting to see her.
This shot was taken at Duxford while she was stored in Hangar 5 (or Hangar 78 as it used to be).
