Operated by 203 Squadron Royal Air Force, Blenheim IVF ‘L9044’ was accidentally shot down by fire from a British warship whilst covering the withdrawal from Crete on 28th April 1941. It force-landed in the sea off Reimo with the crew of three being safely rescued.
Recovered in 1996, the airframe is displayed along with the engines and starboard wing from Blenheim ‘L1434’ which were recovered from Lake Prespes during 2003.
