Built by Hunslet Engine Company of Leeds in 1952, works no. 4109. Tractive effort 70 h.p. with Gardner 4LW engine and 4 speed gearbox. Rebuilt by South Tynedale Railway in 1992. Formerly worked for National Coal Board, North East Area at Seaham Area Training Centre, County Durham. Used on works trains and as standby passenger locomotive.

Battleship grey body with red band, black frame and wheels, red coupling rods and buffer beams. Owned by the South Tynedale Railway.
