Road & Rail

            The latest 1Z10 railway photography outing finds us on a December morning by the M6 & West Coast Mainline capturing 390151 speeding south (but frozen motionless in the image) and M6 traffic trundling north and south on the damp miserable Winter morning.

390151 9M50 06:52 Edinburgh to London Euston, passing lost to Catterall north of Preston.

Yes, this is two images, well three actually.
Image 1  - Train 1/800 f4 ISO2500 - I thought 1/800 would be ok to stop the speeding train in such poor light without having to go any higher with the ISO.
Image 2 - The scene once the train had passed 1/40 f4 ISO125, this was to give a cleaner image to merge the train into.
Image 3 - Capturing the traffic, 1.0 Sec f22 ISO100, an image taken a little while later, I was curious as to what I could present with the motorway traffic.

All were merged in Photoshop and polished up with Lightroom.
