Beulach Ban Falls are 19.8 meters( 65 ft) high - These mountains arose 400 million years ago. Ocean and glaciers entered this valley and retreated. Beulach Ban Waterfall remain: flowing from a plateau lake, tumbling into the Aspy River, emptying into the Atlantic. Once called Horsetail Falls, its waters link highland and valley, past and future.

People have come and gone. Hunting and fishing Mi’kmaq camped on the Aspy’s banks. Settler descendants leave for city jobs. Cape Breton Highlands National Park of Canada protects Beulach Ban and much of this valley, ensuring that future generations always have a reason to return.
