Olympus Quickflash AFL - Always broken

A very rare camera to find working. This was the very first model with a special camera battery, which was soldered within the camera. It can't be replaced easily by a different battery, so there's a 95% chance of finding this camera in non-working order. Too bad, since it's quite a performer. Andy Warhol had some 20 himself.

The 'Picasso' Olympus Quick Flash AFL was the first camera with a lithium battery (that needs servicing).
The Olympus AFL was used by Andy Warhol and after his death 20 of these Olympus camera's were found at his home. Olympus decided to use a 6V (2x123A) battery, that needed to be replaced by the company. To date I haven't find a single succesful story of reviving a dead Olympus AFL with new batteries or 2CR5.
I hooked mine up to 6V, but it whirred and made a high noise. A green LED did come on in the finder. Needs more testing, but it's not a matter of hooking up 6V and you're reading to go… Unfortunately, because I would have loved to take the 38mm F/2.8 Zuiko lens for a spin.
Back in 1985 the Olympus cost the same as a SLR, because of it's advanced build and features!

Update 2023: You can resolder a CRP2 battery to make this camera work.
