Poe's Cottage in the Bronx - a photo on Flickriver

            Through the Eye of the Raven.

After over one hundred years of urban assault, and, after Poe's death in 1849, moved twice in full retreat from urban "progress", Poe's cottage finally was settled safely – or so it seemed – in it's own little sward of greatly circumscribed wilderness.  In the heart of the Bronx.

But the Raven still comes at night.

And the night comes even in the day.
