Juvenile foureye butterflyfish

            Adult foureyes are relatively common, so the juveniles must be around somewhere. But since this is the only juvenile we have seen, they must usually be in places that we don't dive. Nevertheless, it was a thrill to find this tiny guy (about 2-3 cm across) in a coral head... and even better when he floated momentarily above it to allow for a clean background. 

Some juveniles look completely different than the adult, but with this species the are very similar. The only difference is that the juvenile has more yellow coloration, which makes them actually prettier.
