            United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, "The Commandant's Own," rehearses in the morning before one of its summer Tuesday night parades at the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial near Arlington National Cemetery. I've been driving past this monument for 50 years, and my dad even fought at Iwo Jima, but whenever I wanted to stop there, the standard answer was, "The traffic's too heavy right now; we'll go there someday."
