Working on 行灯 (andon) lantern panels

            I'm working on two panels for the Japanese-style lantern, doing it with modern materials.
- The surface is Grafix Dura-Lar acetate-free matte plastic film.
- Drawing tools are Prismacolor Premier markers and Sakura Microperm (permanent version of Micron) fine felt tip pen. Alcohol-based ink does bleed a bit, but dries quickly and doesn't smudge.
- I have isopropanol and a cotton disk to degrease the surface before drawing since it takes on skin oil easily.
- To cut panels, I use NT Cutter Premium PMGA-EVO2 retractable knife. I really like the metal construction of it and the black surface that reduces glare significantly.
- Another tool to cut panels is Westcott cork-backed steel ruler that doesn't scratch sheet materials. My only complaint about it is that it has extra material beyond the zero mark, so it can't be used to measure from the end. I might eventually grind it off.
