            Which would you choose?

Seeing Class 37s operate regular passenger services on the mainline in the 21st century was extraordinary, but for just over a year Greater Anglia offered the choice of two different loco-hauled sets after a Class 170 was out of service for collision damage, necessitating Class 68s to be hired from DRS. During the afternoon both sets could be seen in Norwich, with 37423 Spirit of the Lakes on the left having worked the 1317 from Great Yarmouth with 37403 Isle of Mull, while  on the right 68018 Vigilant and 68003 Astute prepare to work the  1405 to Lowestoft. The spire of Norwich cathedral can be see above the platform canopy.
