37057 and 68005 Norwich

            The new and the old in Norwich - on the left BR Green 37057 has just arrived with 1Q18 1414 Cambridge-Cambridge, the four-weekly Network Rail Plain Line Pattern Recognition test train, while the driver in 68005 Defiant awaits the signal from the guard to depart with the 1804 to Yarmouth. Colas 37116 was on the rear of the test train while 68024 Centaur brought up the rear of the Greater Anglia service.

37057, or D6757, was one of a number of preserved Class 37s purchased by Colas for use on test trains, but was one of only two to keep it's previous livery under Colas, the other being InterCity 37254. Both Type 3s were subsequently repainted into Colas livery.
