Having failed to get this one of a kind battery loco working on the railway because of work (I missed it by 30 mins one morning) I had to make do with getting a shot of it at an LT Museum Depot open weekend. The last one of the year. At least I got to sit in the cab! I turned up at the museum extra early to be the first in line for a walk up ticket and paid the (now) eye watering admin fee to get in. I then rushed through the museum to the yard outside and got some shots before the crowds surrounded it and used it as a place to park push chairs and buggies up against! Their is something more of a mural on the other side but that was in deep shade with a D Stock carriage parked alongside it. Unlike the Pride wrapped Class 378 and 345, L51 was only wearing it's new rainbow colours for a limited period so I was quite pleased to have got a shot of it, sans crowds.
