Brandenburg Gate - a photo on Flickriver

Brandenburg Gate

            Just returned from a mini break to Berlin and as you would expect I have a number of photos to process. Where better to start than the Brandenburg gate which has had Prussian emperors walk through, as well as Napoleon's troops (who took the Quadriga with them when they left), Hitler's armies before being left in no mans land after the building of the Berlin wall. Now it is the symbol of the new Berlin and an united Germany and you can have you photo (for facebook!) taken with a whole range of actors dressed in uniforms from a range of armies. Best seen in the evening when the Quadriga is lit in gold.
