St. Lawrenve's Church, South Cove near Southwold, Suffolk

An ancient church which no doubt served a local community which has now departed, for it now stands alone out there in the open countryside.
I would once again refer you to Simon Knott's excellent web-site "Suffolk Churches" ( see link below ) to read about his detailed history of this interesting building, and to view pictures of the interior that I couldn't get because the church was closed at the time of my visit.
His pictures show that the roof was once thatched , but five years on and tiles now appear to be in place.
