Madrid Hoverfly [Explore 2016-03-29]

Observed in the terrace/garden of our hotel in Madrid, Spain. Thanks to davidh-j for identifying the species as likely being "Epistrophe eligans".

Pentax D-FA 100mm F/2.8 Macro, with off-camera Yongnuo YN-560 III diffused flash. At MFD, plus a heavy crop (~18MP out of a 24MP original).

UPDATE: Explored for March 29th 2016 at #174! (And ended the day at #238.)
