Nightural Bridge

            This is a shot from the light show at the Natural Bridge in Virginia. We didn't realize until shortly before the show was that the story of the show is the religious story of creation, which is fine. I'm not saying I subscribe to that idea per se, but it's a light show at a natural wonder, so it's not really worth getting worked up about. So anyway, there were a lot of "And on the this day...and said it was good..." Now, I went to church some as a kid, but not much and a bit as an adult, but not much either. I'd say I'm a cultural Christian, I celebrate those holidays and try to be a good person, etc. I'm aware of it and happy with it. 

I don't think we've ever taken our kids to church because it's just not a huge part of our lives. What I didn't realize was that I was raising an atheist/agnostic. My son didn't make much of the light show, except maybe to say it was cool, but my daughter was quite upset. I heard her saying to her mom, "Was everything I learned in school wrong?" 

Hoo boy, she was 9 at the time.
